STALACINO
Precision light, mineral form.
Stalacino
Stalacino is a compact surface-mounted spotlight with the optics of an architectural fitting and the form of a mineral deposit. Each one is cast by hand in our London workshop, so it carries the texture and weight of the stone-like material it's made from — while delivering focused, high-CRI downlight through interchangeable beam optics.
The name is a small stalactite: the formations that build, drop by drop, on the roof of a cave. It's a fitting source for a downlight — a slow-made object that throws precise light downward from above

DESIGN ELEMENTS
Housing
Each Stalacino is cast by hand, so its surface and silhouette belong to that piece rather than to a flawless standard — the small variations are the point. The optical fitting sits within the cast body; what reads in the room is the material and the form, with a precise beam doing the work beneath.
